Storm Sewer to Continue. Water Service Replacements to Begin

Work Completed Last Week, April 25^th to April 29^th  

·         Open cut water main installation along Maple, Glen Oak, and Linden.

·         Made connection to existing water main at Glen Oak Drive and Linden Lane

·         Installation of valves and fire hydrants

·         Started storm sewer installation

·         Began performing required testing prior to placing water main into service

Work Anticipated to be completed Next week, May 2^nd to May 6^th

·         Continue with storm sewer installation

·         Receive required approvals prior to placing the water main into service

·         Begin water service replacements

The majority of the water main installation is now completed. Once the required approvals are received, the contractor will begin replacing the water services to each individual home. It is anticipated water service replacement will begin Thursday of next week.

Water services will be replaced from the new water main to the existing valve and box located in front of each home. During the water service replacement, water to individual homes will be shut-off for approximately 1 to 2 hours while the transition from the old service to the new service is made. The contractor will notify each resident individually regarding the approximate time and day of the water shut-off prior to turning off the water.

Work Anticipated to be completed Next week, April 25^th to April 29^th

We understand the inconveniences you are experiencing with the water main shut-downs and the difficulty getting around your neighborhood with the large construction equipment. Please understand we will do everything possible to make these delays as minimal as possible.  

Prep Work for Water Main Installation to Begin

·         Resident Preconstruction Meeting conducted on Thursday, April 14^th.

·         Construction lay-out of improvements

·         Internal televising of existing storm and sanitary sewer systems.

Work Anticipated to be completed Next week, April 18^th to 22^nd

·         Layout of existing right-of-way limits

·         Exploratory excavation of existing utilities

·         Begin water main installation via directional drilling methods

·         Begin storm sewer installation

Resident Meeting: Thursday, April 14th at 6:00 PM, corner of Maple Lane & Glen Oak Drive

Work Anticipated to be complete Next week, April 11^th to 15^th

·         Resident Preconstruction Meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 14^th at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be held on-site at the intersection of Maple Lane and Glen Oak Drive.

·         No additional work is anticipated to be performed on-site.

Welcome to the Maple Lane Improvements Construction Blog!  Each week updates will be given regarding the construction progress from the following week, anticipated work to occur the upcoming week, and other information. Additional information will also be provided on a periodic basis via mailed or hand-delivered letters. These construction updates will typically provide more time-sensitive information or information regarding scheduled water main shut-downs that are needed to complete this project.
